Tony Kofi has picked up the award for the 'Best Instrumentalist' at the prestigious BBC Jazz Awards 2008.

July 21st sees the release of the annual BBC Jazz Awards CD set to tie in with the event, the best of UK jazz is represented with new kids on the block rubbing shoulders with established artists.

Joan Baez’s new studio album Day After Tomorrow, her first in 5 years, is released on September 8th and is produced by Steve Earle. It features her interpretations of songs written by Elvis Costello, Tom Waits and Patty Griffin.
