Artist Biography

HOLLER FOR YOUR HOLIDAY!

Hailing from the Southend, Essex, Baddies have been quietly taking over Europe since the release of their debut single 'Battleships' in October 2008. An unrivalled live act, their perfect Alt- Pop tunes flit effortlessly between the pop sense of Talking Heads, the bass driven heft of Queens Of The Stone Age and the attitude of classic '70's UK punk.

Made up of identical twins Michael (lead vocals/guitar) and Jim Webster (drums/vocals), Simon Bellamy (guitar/vocals) and Danny Rowton (vocals/bass), in just 10 months the band have found themselves headlining sold out shows in Paris, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Groningen and Barcelona, despite releasing just 500 7" vinyls.

In the UK, features with the likes of Myspace, NME, Clash, The Times, BBC Online and Rock Sound, combined with relentlessly un-missable live shows, saw Baddies emerging from In The City 2008 as the hottest band of the festival. That, combined with widespread press approval of their debut single and 3 weeks atop of the MTV/Myspace chart, saw 2009 kicking off with Baddies chosen as many publications tips for 2009.

With a deal in place allowing them complete control over their music, a summer of festivals and shows throughout the UK and Europe, and an album recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, Baddies are perfectly poised to build and exceed on the early promise.

With new single 'Holler For My Holiday' set for a June 1st release (digital only), in the words of NME 'Given the chance, 2009 could belong to Baddies'.

Baddies are signed to MEDICAL, their own special division of Proper Records.
