‘Man & Dog’ is the new comical video from Loudon Wainwright III and see’s him taking his dog Harry for a walk around New York City. The song tackles the subject of pet ownership and is taken from Wainwright’s latest album ‘Haven’t Got The Blues (Yet)’, his 26th album in a long and illustrious career.
Loudon says of the song “My dog Harry has been the inspiration for a few ditties now, including this one, and my as of yet to be recorded ‘Puppy Hate’.”
The album follows his acclaimed ‘Older Than My Old Man Now’ album from 2012 – “my death n’ decay opus,” as Wainwright calls it. In HGTB(Y) he broadens his scope with a 14-song, genre-bounding set – “eclectricity,” he calls it – dealing with varied subject matter including depression, drinking, senior citizenship, gun control, heartbreak, pet ownership and New York City’s arcane practice of alternate side-of-the-street parking.
